Assuage provides a convenient mobile massage, injury and rehabilitation service throughout areas of Cornwall. Whether suffering a new injury from playing sport or long term work related pain that just won't go away, an Assuage therapist can help you. Using knowledge gained during a three year sports therapy degree programme allows for competent treatment and relief from painful musculoskeletal problems.

Assuage consists of two graduate sports therapists, both of whom are members of the Society of Sports Therapists.

What is Sports Therapy?

Sports therapy is an aspect of the healthcare industry primarily concerned with injury prevention and the rehabilitation of an injured individual. A sports therapist aims to return clients back to pre-injury fitness levels, be it for everyday function, occupational or specific sporting needs. This is achieved through the specialist knowledge gathered through a three year sports therapy degree programme.

The Society of Sports Therapists is the governing body for sports therapy, overseeing legislation and all matters regarding sports therapy. By setting a benchmark for educational standards, the Society of Sports Therapists are ensuring their members are of the highest standard to provide care for the general public.
